UNHCRworks in more than 130 countries to care for the world’s millions of refugees,internally displaced, and stateless persons.

Theprimary purpose of the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Unit in UNHCR is togenerate income from individual donors, corporate and foundations, in order tosustain UNHCR activities worldwide.


WithinPSP Italy Individual Giving team, Database and Analysis area is responsible tosupport fundraisers in achieving the income target, implementing datamanagement solutions needed to govern the extensive information system relatedto fundraising activities. In order to maximise opportunities offered by thisarea of work the adoption of Salesforce is ongoing and expected to be fullyimplemented by second semester 2020.



TheSenior PSP Assistant (Salesforce Administrator) is a crucial role as he/shewill ensure that the newly adopted DRM system fully supports the fundraisers inachieving the income targets.  He/shewill act as PSP Italy focal point/super-user of Salesforce and will beresponsible for performing and optimizing data management operationalactivities, ensuring that donors’ information stored in the DRM is accurate,usable, protected and respondent to current and future needs.


Mainresponsibility encompasses around managing Salesforce and extends to relatedtools for fundraising activities. Under the direct supervision of the PSPAssociate (Data & IT), within the Database and Analysis area, theindividual contractor will assist in the following:


·      Perform and successfully complete themigration of the legacy DRM system to Salesforce, including the execution ofdata migration/cleansing tasks

·      Be responsible for Salesforceapplication set-up and configuration, with the support of third-partyimplementation partners when needed, ensuring the DRM system fully supports thefundraising processes maximizing end-user’s productivity

·      Manage and continuously maintain Salesforceapplication and its integration with other systems (i.e. email marketingplatform, call centre applications, BI tools, etc.), including support requestand escalated administrative needs of users, by providing prompt and completeresolution to technical challenges and business support issues 

·      Design, develop, test, release andmaintain business processes in Salesforce including complex workflow rules,validation rules, formulas, custom workflow, process builder, page layouts,custom fields/object, reports, dashboard and other Salesforce customization

·      Evaluate new releases of Salesforceapplications and managed packages, leading plans for their implementation andbeing the champion of Salesforce best practices

·      Support, train and coach the users ofthe application, developing, providing and disseminating trainings forend-users when needed

·      Maintain and produce all the supportdocumentation (end-user guides, system release notes, and tracking bugs,enhancements and features)

·      Be the PSP Italy primary focal pointfor Salesforce by  partnering  with internal stakeholders, external vendorsand third-party implement

Minimum Qualification and Professional Experience Required


 ·      Completion of secondary education

·      Certification/training in computing ora related discipline

·      University Degree in computing,engineering or a related discipline is considered an asset


Work Experience

  •  Minimum 5 years of working experience, out of which at least 3 of relevant Salesforce experience
  • Proven experience with Salesforce CRM management as administrator, specifically with the development of automations with process builder, workflows and advanced reports and dashboard
  • Proven command with data loader tools such as Dataloader, Demand Tools, Apsona, etc
  • Experience with AppExchange applications
  • Experience with handling confidential data and demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies
  • Working Experience in non-profits or fundraising is a very relevant asset
  • Experience with other CRM platforms and email marketing systems is an asset


Language requirements

 ·      Excellent Italian and English isrequired, both written and spoken. 

  • Working knowledge of another relevant UN language will be considered anasset
