Organizational Context

The primarypurpose of the Private Sector Partnership service (PSP) unit within UNHCR Italyis to generate income from individual donors, corporate and foundations, inorder to sustain UNHCR activities worldwide. In this framework the optimizationof data management processes has become crucial within PSP Individual Givingand Marketing (IG&M) team.

The main purposeof this position is to offer Interns an opportunity to gain a hands-onexperience within their field of study or their career perspective, focusing onreal CRM data management processes, along with providing a valuable support tothe Database & Analysis section within the IG&M team. The activity willconsist in providing assistance for the data management procedures related todata collection, data quality and data enrichment mainly using the donordatabase application and other data management tools such as advanced usage ofMicrosoft Excel, basic usage of data mining and dashboard software.


       Support data entry of fundraising activitiesí outcomes(income and costs), updating information on existing and new donors

       Assist to collect, manipulate and process data sourcesto be entered into the donor CRM tool, performing data quality and consistencycontrol and running cleansing semiautomatic procedures

     Analyze data entry procedures and collaborate todevelop and keep updated documentation, such us users handbooks and operatinginstructions

       Support the testing of new CRM functionalities

       Combine data from different systems when informationis incomplete

       Purge files to eliminate duplication of data

       Provide reports and analysis upon request

       Support the setup of new data management proceduresand functionalities

   Participate in Needs Assessment processes,specifically in data collection, processing/collation and data exploration

       Perform other related duties as required

       Work in close collaboration with PSP Donor Service


TheIntern will receive training and support in assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualification and Professional Experience Required

       Be a recent graduate (within one year of completionstudies) or current student and have completed at least two years ofundergraduate studies in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, InformationTechnology.

       Italian mother tongue and good knowledge of English

       Good knowledge of Excel is required.

       Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, SQL and WebBased applications is an asset
